Application options for simulates in textile manufacturing
Our simulates are primarily used in colour fastness tests in the textile industry.
These are governed by the DIN ISO standards 105 - E01 to E04.
Colour fastness is the property of a material to retain its colouring under the effects of outside influences.
A differentiation is made here between:
• rubbing fastness (dry/wet)
• wash fastness (typical: e.g. 60°C/95°C)
• bleach resistance
• fastness to perspiration
• fastness to saliva
Colour fastness in this context depends heavily on the dye selected for the respective material.
The DIN Standards Committee for Material Testing NA 062 has compiled standards for colour fastness.
